At the Academy was established in the fall of 2009 by visual artist Marie Kølbæk Iversen, writer and theorist Camma Juel Jepsen, and graphic designer Louise Hold Sidenius.

The collective edits and publishes the free art journal Internationalistisk Ideale (i.i.), and engages in editorial, curatorial, and artistic collaborations.
